When the world that we live in can be incredibly distracting, with screens everywhere; constant notifications; emails; and messages, it can be hard to focus on the people in front of you. But when you get out in the mountains or on a trip with friends you get to focus your complete attention on the people you are with and the location you’re in. I know firsthand that as you hike trails and conquer challenges together, bonds are forged through shared triumphs and the simple joy of being surrounded by nature. These shared moments become the foundation for lasting and authentic connections.

As a wedding and elopement photographer, I adore following and capturing the whole story of that day, and with a backcountry elopement you get an entire adventures worth of photos to look back on. From waking up early and drinking coffee, packing the last few things in your bag, getting up into the alpine, and dipping in a lake then setting up camp, there is so much beauty in the entire process and the experience is memorable for a lifetime. I grew up with a very adventurous family. I spent my childhood in a canoe paddling through Killarney and Algonquin, collecting lilipads and catching frogs. I have always felt the most myself out camping somewhere, playing cards and sitting at a campfire. After living in Jasper for one summer and summiting the four mountains surrounding the town I decided I needed to try out living in the mountains full time. I moved out to Whistler in 2016 and what started as one year turned into 7. Now I have my photography business, my dog Biggie and even more love for adventuring outdoors.
I started photography as a way to capture my friends and I’s experiences in the mountains, but I quickly fell in love with photographing people in places more then just the places themselves. Slowly this progressed into weddings and then into running my own business. When couples first started inquiring about backcountry elopements I felt like I had won the lottery. Combining beautiful unique wedding ceremonies with hiking, running and touring has been a dream come true. It truly feels like exactly what I am supposed to do.
