Winter Helicopter Proposal in Whistler

Bluebird winter days in the mountains are nothing short of magical. Luckily Shaun picked the perfect day to fly with Blackcomb Helicopters up to the top of Rainbow Mountain to propose to Jasmin. There wasn’t a cloud in sight and we had unobstructed views of all of the surrounding mountains and the entire peak to ourselves.

We flew up from the valley and you could feel Shaun’s nerves and excitement building as we got closer. When we landed on Rainbow Mountain, he and Jasmin wandered off to take in the views. That’s when Shaun got down on one knee and finally asked the question he’d been planning for months. Jasmin said yes right away, and the two of them celebrated by running around the glacier together!

After the proposal, we spent some time soaking up the sunshine before flying back down to the valley. From there we drove to Green Lake to take a few more photos in the sunshine by the lake. I love this area because you have so much open space to run around and get those natural candid photos. These two were so much fun to spend the afternoon with and photograph!

A winter helicopter proposal is absolutely worth it! It is such a beautiful surprise and a perfect spot to pop the question.
